Google Exceeds Own Bandwidth Limit
Published By: Philipp Lenssen on February 15, 2007 - 8:52am
Original Blog Entry Located Here Filed In: Data Management This is ironic – Pamela Fox of the Google Maps API blog posts a sample mashup using the geocoder feature, and inadvertently points out its limitation: there is a daily limit of 50,000 geocode requests, and the mashup currently displays nothing but the warning that “The bandwidth limit for this site has been exceeded.” (It’s rare that official company blog posts are balanced enough to point out both pros and cons of a product!)
